The Fellowship Fly-In got off to a tough start with drizzly weather, overcast skies, and low temperatures. But by mid morning, the weather had improved and the day was enjoyable.
MTRCCA hosted its 3rd Annual Fly-In. The weather started off a little "iffy" on Saturday but the sun came out later in the day and of course, Sunday was clear, blue skies. We registered 70 pilots and more than 270 spectators paid admission to view the event!
MTRCCA's enjoyed its largest event ever! We held our third annual Swap Meet, with over 13,000 square feet of R/C items on 150+ tables. Over 170 shoppers came through general admission.
Swap Meet Success
Lots of people, lots of tables, lots of fun! MTRCCA's second annual Swap Meet exceeded all expectations by selling completely out of the 75 tables on hand. We counted 100+ people through general admission, with maybe 15 or 20 more slipping through while we were setting up. Thanks to Glen Batson for the pictures.
The Good Times Before the Rain
MTRCCA's second annual fall fly-in was off to a great start! In the first several hours, 84 pilots registered, accompanied by countless family members, spouses, pit crews, and friends. And then rain and storms ended it all . . .
Fun - Friends - Fellowship
The Fellowship Fly-in rotates from club to club each spring. Although anyone is welcome to attend, we publicize this mostly among our member clubs. It's an opportunity for everyone to get to know each other better, without the extra work the bigger event in the fall.
MTRCCA's First Fly-In
Despite the colder than expected and windy weather on Saturday, turnout was still huge! We had over 70 registered pilots and countless spectators. Members from each club helped coordinate safety policies, attract sponsors, secure prizes, and promote the event across the state.
Saturday, November 4
MTRCCA held its first Swap Meet on November 4th in Clarksville. Future swap meets will have more pictures and will be held in a bigger location to accommodate more vendors and spectators.
